Brief Description: Bob Garrabrant, Onex #32, visit
Bob Garrabrant, Onex #32 builder, visited from Nantucket today. He brought his pivot assemblies along to compare with mine. We both came up with the same configuration (and inboard paddle interference) building from the plans independently. He suggested maybe placing the paddle assembly below the pivot plate for better alignment. I posted a poorly spelled Photoshop texted picture of the assembly on the OnexPlans forum (and pic 1 below) for comment. Turns out, Rheal Comte, Onex #21, came up with the same configuration in Dec 2011 and posted pictures on his forum photo folder ONX21. With the paddle next to the bearing, things appear to align nicely. See his pics DSCF1349 (plans config) and DSCF1373 (modified config).
